  Tadeu duarte - Audio
HOJE
Composers from South East Brazil ( where the pianist Tadeu Duarte comes from) were recorded in this CD of contemporary Brazilian music for piano. An exception is Edino Krieger, born in the south state of Santa Catarina, but early moved to Rio de Janeiro.
Since the XIX century the Brazilian composers have been written a lot to the piano, what gives its repertoire a broad diversity of languages.

-Ronaldo Miranda: Estrela Brilhante (Shining Star)
-Edino Krieger: Sonatina
-Almeida Prado: Noturnos 4 and 5 ; Momentos 1 , 3, 9 and 11
-Raul do Valle: Tríptico (Drieluik: Schommelingen, Gedachtenpuntjes en Dubbelzinnigheid)
-Mario Ficarelli: Minimal Ciranda
-Oiliam Lanna:4 Momentos; Momento 1
-Damiano Cozzella: 11 Pequenos Contrapontos (11 Small Counterpoints)
-Gilberto Mendes: Viva Villa!

  REVIEWS

In the Tríptico and the other works, Tadeu Duarte is able to get out of the piano a multi facets sonority, thanks to the perfect technical control of the instrument, together to this fantastic interpretative sensibility.
--Raul do Valle (fevereiro/2006)

In my works, Tadeu Duarte shows a very high technical and interpretative perfection, a strong pianism, lyric, rich in sound, always looking for new colours and intentions, that makes of the played works an immense pleasure of listening. Tadeu Duarte, a great artist, a very great pianist.
-- Almeida Prado (February 3rd, 2006)

I liked very much your interpretations, mainly because, within many details, the respirations, very musical, that you do along all the works, shows an interpreter directed to the listener, in an interaction as a writer that thinks and leads the reader.
--Oiliam Lanna (January 19th, 2006)

Tadeu Duarte, far away in terms of distance, but very close in terms of feeling with the ‘brazilianism’ of the piano works of Villa-Lobos, Francisco Mignone and Lorenzo Fernândez. The 3rd Suite Brasileira (Brazilian Suite) of Lorenzo Fernandez reached with his magistral interpretation a very high level.
-- Marina Helena Lorenzo Fernândez Silva (June, 2002)

Very beautiful the conception of the cd, great diversity. For me it is a rich contribution; the pianist community should appreciate.
-- Damiano Cozzella (February, 2006)

Your interpretation of the Sonatina is very personal, with lots of freedom concerning temp fluctuation. Its performance - as well as all the works - is very good.
-- Edino Krieger (February 2006)

Your interpretation of my Viva Villa, that is really magnificent, precise in the rhythm and in the general conception, in the dynamics. You are the one that best understood this my work. Congratulations
--
Gilberto Mendes (February 2006)
